Welcome to the website of the Principal Complaints Commissioner of the Falkland Islands
The role of the Principal Complaints Commissioner was created in the revised Constitution of the Falkland Islands which came into effect on the 1st January 2009. The Ordinance [Complaints Commissioners Ordinance 2010] that gave the required legal powers and authority was approved by the Falkland Islands Legislative Assembly on the 28th May 2010.
It is an important human right that people can make a complaint concerning their government to a completely independent body that they can trust to fairly, impartially and objectively judge their complaint.
